I am so pleased to see that Larry "The Shiller" Yun will be facing the same scrutiny that David "The Shillest" Lereah faced for so many years. But I would plead for some restraint - bash Yun for the clear BS that he spouts, which Lereah was so good at spouting, but not for the more ambiguous crap that comes out of his mouth. One has to admit that there is some uncertainty about markets like this. The key is to call out the completely bogus (and esp. the subsequently absurd) statements.
"Look, if we don't take the oil we need by force, killing anyone who gets in our way, the US is going to be totally screwed as peak oil brings the hammer down!
Maybe if we took the hundreds of billions of dollars we've already blown on this war and invested it in new energy technologies we would have had other options.
But hey its too late now, so when you lose your job in the coming depression we will happy to have you in the army."
"The chance of a housing price decline in the DC area is close to zero, in my view. I anticipate that prices in DC will outpace the national average price growth. DC prices will rise at close to a 7 to 10 % rate of appreciation. That's not the 20 to 25% rate we've seen in the past, but it's still very respectful."
Rush said that oil is replacing itself after we`ve pumped it out of the ground. We have absolutely nothing to worry about. We still get the cheap oil because we can just leave the rigs in place and wa la, the oil automatically replaces itself. This is great, I told you everthing is going to be OK. Gotta go, my realtor just called with some smokin' hot deals.
why is ol' P.T. on the list?
ReplyDeleteYun by far. Could you argue that housing is doing great?
ReplyDeleteBush since we all know he's lying now

ReplyDeleteYes I'd have to say Cheny and his sock puppet.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't they just come out and say it:

ReplyDeleteGreenspan always told it as it is, unfortunately you have to have an IQ of at least 120 to understand him.
